How does S2data differ from traditional route planning in the TMS?

Traditional TMS planning often operates sequentially: orders are assigned one after another, rates are calculated separately, and time windows and driving times are checked at the end. S2data, on the other hand, calculates routes, capacities, time windows, driver breaks, and freight rates simultaneously as part of a single optimization process. This reduces costs per kilometer and per stop while improving SLA compliance.

The scheduling system models daily driving time (9–10 hours), breaks (45 minutes after 4.5 hours), weekly and biweekly limits, and rest periods in its constraints. This results in schedules that are legally compliant while also adhering to time windows. The relevant EU regulations are standardized.

The platform imports order and master data from ERP/TMS systems, optimizes routes and costs, and returns the results (sequence, times, capacities). Additionally, 3D loading instructions can be exported to ensure that the load and route match.
